Excellence Academy (EA) is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) working towards the promotion of sustainable development in urban and rural areas of Karnataka state. EA implements education program for dropouts, inclusive, lower achievers, skill development programs, livelihood, women empowerment, health issues, agriculture farming etc related activities.EA are composed of experts with years of experience in executing social welfare activities. Before rolling out a project, detailed analysis of the situation is done and possible solutions are contemplated. Collaboration with civic agencies and other government agencies (taluk, district and state and even national level at times) is done to carry out the work. EA not only go on the ground to address these issues; they also undertake massive campaigning activities to generate awareness on these issues.

GO GREEN/Environment/ Sustainable Agriculture program

Environmental awareness and education is of utmost importance today and especially for the younger generation. It is indeed very important to understand various environmental problems and undertake appropriate measures. This is possible only if proper steps are taken and the community is sensitized enough. Sustainable agriculture concepts like Rainwater Harvesting, Solid Waste Management, Alternate Energy (Air/Water/Solar), Pollution control, Organic Farming, etc. EA will conduct different campaigns on environment and agriculture related issues.

Women empowerment through Tailoring centers:

Women have always been marginalized and downgraded to the status of subjugated class in the Indian society. Due to lack of specific implementation of plans, local communities especially women have remained outside the scope and benefits of government schemes and programs. Women have not actively participated in their emancipation due to their lack of economic independence and illiteracy. There is a need to address the issue by raising the status of women. Keeping this issue in mind Excellence Academy started running training programs for the empowerment of women.The main objective of this tailoring training program is to enhance the quality of life of women and teenage girls through enhancement of their skills and knowledge. Due to poverty, these teenage girls drop out of high school to get married and work as temporary farm workers, sweepers and manual scavengers. They needed to learn newer vocational skills such as tailoring (sewing) which can help them earn more income.
