Navodaya Educational and Environment Development Service (NEEDS) is a voluntary organization working for the development of rural population, small and marginal farmers, Scheduled castes & Scheduled Tribes, landless and minorities concentrating more on women folks. It has its base in Ranebennur, Haveri Dist. Karnataka.It started working with thrift and credit for women Self help groups, working with youths for campaign on Empowerment Gramasabha, Formation of Village Forest Committees with school children about awareness on Environment Degradation Problem and involvement of local community a-forestation programs etc. It had organized almost all types of CBOs viz, SHGs, VDCs, VFCs, User Groups, Farmers club. The SHGs have their own Federation at village and taluk level.We are working for various development by undertaking the programs at Haveri, Davangere, Chitradurga, Bellary, Gadag, Dharwad, Belgaum, Uttara Kannada & Shimogga Dist.As so far we reached 10000+ beneficiaries till now .
