Siddeswara Rural Development Society(R)

SRDS is dedicated to the socio-economic empowerment of indigenous and marginalized communities

Siddeswar Rural Development Society(R) is a Secular Non-Profit Voluntary Organization established in 1994. For the past 28 years working in the area of caring for elderly people, disadvantaged SC/ST, backward communities, children, and women expanding its horizon to reach out to underserved sections of society that need intervention.

Through the power of membership, we promote the economic and social status of the community. We have served more than 1000 people in Shimoga and Chitradurga districts. To empower the marginalized and vulnerable sections of the community by enhancing their knowledge, skills, capacities access to opportunities and services, and their participation in life decisions. SRDS aims to act as a facilitator for people to achieve their optimal potential and prepare them to face life challenges with confidence and dignity.

Working together, we invest in the lives of People living with physically and mentally challenged, children, youth, and senior citizens, build the healthy environment they need to thrive and empower them to create lasting change in their own lives and communities.

Our Programs

Day care center for senior citizens

We provide a daycare center as a safe and secure space for senior citizens to go to solve their issues. And are given care,  medical assistance,  emotional support,  aid, advice, and a space where they meet others in similar situations. The daycare center also acts as an outlet for senior citizens to spend time and indulge in recreation activities, outings, and gatherings. Not only does this give them emotional support but also has a positive impact on their mental and physical wellbeing.  

Free health check-up camp

A free health check-up camp was organized at SRDS office, Chitradurga. Free Blood Pressure Check and Random Blood Sugar Tests were done during the camp.
