DRP-Devadasi Rehabilitation Program
Theprogramwasspeciallyplanned&preparedfordevadasiwomen.WiththehelpofKarnatakaStateWomenDevelopmentCorporation(KSWDC)Bangalore and Government of Karnataka In this program, the women from various areas of the district were motivated to give up their devadasi practice. EDP training included IG activities, marketing tricks for quality products, etc was highlighted in the program.

This program was undertaken with the support of
Handloom & Textile department (Govt of Karnataka) in which the school
dropout BPL family students of 18 to 34 ages are strengthened with proper
training of sewing machine operation for 45 days. In this training beneficiaries learned various aspects of the sewing machine like how to operate machines, cuttings & designing clothes as per
costumer's requirement with soft skills. Certificates from department were distributed & few got opportunities in garment industries.
